Last week, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to America, the semiconductor chip manufacturing company there announced an investment of more than twenty thousand crores in Gujarat. The representatives of this company are coming to Gujarat within two days and they will inspect the sites for setting up the plant here. For this, the Gujarat government will show vast lands in Dholera and Sanand. According to government sources, the company will need a large land of approximately 100 acres and for that Dholera and Sanand will be the best options.

By next Thursday, this delegation will meet the representatives of the Gujarat government and they will visit various places and select a suitable place for themselves. The company expects to create 5000 jobs in Gujarat through this plant. It may be mentioned that earlier Vedanta Foxconn has announced setting up a semiconductor chip plant in Dholera in Gujarat itself and 400 acres of land has been selected for it. Micron is also likely to opt for Dholera, as the upcoming ancillary company will make manufacturing easier.

Government of India and Government of Gujarat will help for Micron's plant
After the announcement made by Micron, Government of India and Government of Gujarat are also going to help according to their semiconductor policy. The Government of India has set norms for disbursement of subsidy of 50 per cent of the total investment. Apart from this, the share of assistance from the Gujarat government can also be approximately twenty percent, which includes facilities such as electricity, roads, water, sewerage in addition to the leased land.
